I don't know about yall...

but I have never had a problem running a One Mile Fun Run due to heat and I don't think they have ever cut one of those short.

I am sticking with those from now on...

On to the bar!

P.S. I am chalking today up as a very, very, very expensive 18 mile training run.

From all my peeps Chicago sucked!!! I'm sorry this was your first experience...BUT you could always do the one in Dallas in beginning of December.

Don't shoot me on that one but there are quite a few marathons not too far away...you have trained is all I'm sayin.'

Sorry Tiff to hear the bad news about that race...I spoke with a friend of mine who said it was nightmare also... He flew in from NY and has run quite a few marathons.

Enjoy a few cold ones, enjoy whats left of the trip...

and find another marathon to run when you get back, what won't kill ya will make ya stronger...this was just one of those things, part of ur story.

Mendy and I are catching up on some of the news out of Chicago. What a disaster, and I hope the event planners are rung out for this, but don't get down about it. I think you did great, and all the runners today should be commended. Go get "hydrated"! ;-)

Sorry Tiff! This was my ninth marathon, and my 4th chicago, and i can't imagine where'd i'd be if my first one got cancelled. Check that, I'd be at the bar! Don't worry--this was such a fluke, you'll do great with your next one.

What a disaster!! I've been reading on running boards, etc, how horrible it was. And, someone actually died. How awful!

You were well prepared Tiffany, and you'll be up for another one real soon. One you can actually finish!

I agree with what everyone has said. What a crap load you all got handed to you all. It sounded like a nightmare. But go out and have yourself a couple beers. You deserve it chica!!
