So, I was shooting for a sub-30 minute 5K this morning. In the last 3 months, my 5K time has dropped from 33:40 to 30:30 to...
28:30 this morning!!!!!
YAHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I totally credit my new Garmin on my improved time. I could analyze my pace, chip time, and also run against my "virtual partner" who I totally killed in the race.
Damn, I feel good.

Online shopping addiction + Newfound running addiction=
http://www.garmin.com/products/forerunner301/
OF COURSE I needed a heart rate monitor and GPS on a watch to monitor my running.... the coolest part if how you can download your race routes to the internet through Google Earth and analyze mile splits, elevation, heart rate, etc.
I cannot WAIT til it arrives tomorrow!!! I feel like a little kid before Christmas :)

Less than 2 months til the half...
So, I ran 8 miles this morning. EIGHT. I am skipping a little ahead of my training schedule to fit in a 5K race next weekend (Race for the Cure) and I feel strong.
Bad note- it was 47 degrees this morning when I started running. I am longing for the 90 degree days here. Grass is always greener, eh?
8 weeks til Kiawah!
